Felix Doubront held Kansas City scoreless on just 2 hits at Kauffman Stadium
where the Boston Red Sox beat the Kansas City Royals 4 to 0.
Doubront(3-1) was simply too much for the Kansas City batters. He didn't give
up much, just 2 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings lowering his ERA from 4.94 to
3.72. Neither team managed to score after the 3rd inning.
Jonathan Sanchez(2-1) suffered the loss. He was touched for 9 hits and 3
walks in 5 and 1/3 innings. With this win, Boston has a division leading
21-7 record. They have been 7-3 lately. With the loss, Kansas City has a
record of 4-6 lately, 13-15 overall.
