April 15, 2012: Red Sox 8 Rays 7 (13)

The Red Sox stage a notable comeback to tie it after 9, then finally get the win in the 13th on back-to-back doubles from Darnell McDonald and Jarrod Saltalamacchia.

The early stages of the game were all Rays. Starter Matt Moore was carrying a no-hitter into the 6th inning, and the Rays put up 5 runs on 3 homers off Sox starter Felix Doubront. The Sox were down 7-0 at the 7th inning stretch, but finally got on the board in the bottom of the 7th and then scored 6 runs on 6 straight hits to start the 8th, capped by a game-tying 3-run home run from Cody Ross.

Alfredo Aceves earned the win for the Sox, and it was well-deserved with his 4 innings of hitless relief. Sox pitchers struck out 20 Rays, including Evan Longoria 5 times!
