| The Red Sox again blew a lead against the Tigers, but two things broke down differently in this game as compared to the season opener. First of all, the Red Sox only blew a 3-run lead, not a 10 run lead. Second of all, they took the lead right back and went on to win thanks to a Jarrod Saltalamacchia grand slam in the 8th inning. The win goes to Alfredo Aceves, who relieved Josh Beckett after Beckett let the lead runner on in the 7th. Beckett gave up a 2-run bomb to Miguel Cabrera which tied it in the bottom of the 6th. The Sox also got a 2-run shot from Jacoby Ellsbury in the 5th, and Ellsbury scored in the 1st when he and Dustin Pedroia hit back-to-back doubles to open the game. Ellsbury and Pedroia seem up to their old tricks so far this season. |
