| April 5, 2012: The defending World Series Champion Washington Nationals start out right where they left off, with Stephen Strasburg leading them to victory. Strasburg went 7 innings, allowing just 4 hits and 1 run, and an un-Strasburg like 3 K's. The offense was led by Wilson Ramos, who hit a 3-run homer in the 2nd and added an RBI double in the 4th, and newcomer Adam Laroche, who hit a 3-run bomb in the 9th to pad the score. Laroche and Mark Derosa are the two new faces in the Nationals lineup for 2012. Tyler Clippard and Henry Rodriguez each pitch a scoreless inning in relief of Strasburg, same as they did in the game 5 clincher last October. |
