April 30, 2012: Red Sox 5 A's 1




Clay Buchholz leads the way for the Sox, earning his 4th win in a 5-1 victory over the A's. Dustin Pedroia led the olffense with a 3 for 3 day, knocking in 3 runs.

The Boston Red Sox readily handled Oakland Athletics by a score of 5 to 1 at
Fenway Park.

Oakland was unable to claim the lead after Boston went ahead in the bottom of
the 5th inning as they scored 2 runs on 2 base hits. Boston had 8 hits for
the night while Oakland had 4.

The victory was credited to Clay Buchholz(4-0) who went 7 innings, allowing 1
run. Tommy Milone(4-1) ended up with the loss. He pitched 4 innings allowing
5 hits and 1 walk.
