October 14, 2012: Diamondbacks 9 Phillies 2 (Diamondbacks lead NLCS, 1-0)

The Diamondbacks put up crooked numbers in the 1st, 2nd and 7th innings, and cruise to the easy 9-2 game 1 win over the Phillies. Cody Ransom gets his first start of the playoffs and makes it count, going 2 for 3 with a double, a homer and 4 RBI. Chris Johnson did a good job setting the table for Johnson, going 3 for 4.

Matt Albers came through with a solid 4 innings as the Arizona Diamondbacks
outscored the Philadelphia Phillies 9 to 2.
 
Cody Ransom made sure the Arizona fans enjoyed themselves.  He cleared the
fences for a two-run home run in the 2nd inning and doubled which was good
for two runs in the 7th inning.  Arizona had 11 hits for the game and
Philadelphia had 4.  
 
Trevor Cahill(2-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 5 innings and allowing
2 runs. Albers got the save, his 1st.  The losing pitcher was Cole
Hamels(0-1).  By surrending 5 runs in 2 innings his ERA jumped from 2.57 to
6.00.
