October 9, 2012: Rangers 13 Tigers 4 (Tigers lead series, 2-1)

The Rangers whip up on Tigers starter Anibal Sanchez with a 4-run 5th and a 5-run 6th to put it away. Adrian Beltre was 2 for 4 with a double and 4 RBI,  while Michael Young had a 3-run triple.

Baseballs were flying all over the ballpark as the Texas Rangers ran roughshod
over the seemingly hapless Detroit Tigers.  The Texas offense rolled up a
total of 13 runs!.
 
Derek Holland(1-0) was credited with the win in a less than impressive
performance.  He gave up 10 hits and 3 walks in 7 innings and was touched for
3 homeruns.  Texas banged out 11 hits on the night.  
 
Anibal Sanchez(0-1) absorbed the loss.  He allowed Texas 10 runs in 5 and 1/3
innings of work.
